Anthony Martial has revealed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been asking him to attack more since replacing Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

Manchester United host Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 clash and Martial is one of a few of Solskjaer’s players going into the match in fine form.

Speaking to the media alongside the United caretaker manager, Martial addressed questions about the difference between Solskjaer and former manager’s instructions:

He’s asking me to attack more. That’s my job after all: to make the difference as it were, to be more decisive and, you know, things are working out pretty well at the moment for the other attackers as well, of course.

The 23-year-old’s impressive solo goal in last weekend’s 3-0 victory at Fulham was a clear reminder of how much talent and promise he possesses, and he’s set to play a huge part in the club’s future.

Martial signed a new five-year contract at the end of last month and is cementing his place on the left wing with consistent performances, and he’ll hope to make an impact on Tuesday night too.
