The MET office have issued a weather warning for a storm across the UK this Easter bank holiday weekend covering the 4th and 5th of April, with a full schedule of sporting calendar it’s likely fixtures will be at risk.
Manchester United players won’t have to endure the storm as Michael Carrick’s men sit out the FA Cup weekend. Their rivals, such as Liverpool and Manchester City, will be in action in the quarter-finals, but there is a concern that some fixtures will be called off due to the conditions.
United fans should travel safely this weekend as the Met Office has warned about “severe weather” in the North of England:
“The most severe weather will be in the north of the UK on Saturday evening through to the middle of Sunday as an area of low pressure rapidly deepens, bringing very strong winds to much of northern Britain. The low-pressure system has been named Storm Dave.”
If Carrick were considering calling his players in for training because of their absence from the FA Cup, he might think again. A yellow weather warning for wind is in place in Greater Manchester from Saturday, April 4th 6 PM until Easter Sunday, April 5th, midday.
