- Garnacho’s new controversy
- Looking back at the Manchester United interview
- Future of the Chelsea winger
Alejandro Garnacho has been stirring up trouble with his latest social media activity. The Chelsea winger wiped out all club-related content from his TikTok account. Additionally, he reposted moments from his Manchester United career, sparking speculation over his situation at Stamford Bridge.
The Argentine moved from Manchester to London after a fallout with former United coach, Ruben Amorim. Since his £40 million move, the 21-year-old has failed to impress at Chelsea.
After the arrival of the Blues’ new manager, Liam Rosenior, the player has been somewhat of a no-show. Appearing as a substitute for cup competitions while sitting on the bench for high-octane clashes.
After a recent interview about his Old Trafford exit, the player has reposted two clips from his United spell. This went south as the youngster found himself in fresh trouble.
Garnacho Trouble
talkSPORT suggests Garnacho’s actions could lead to him being punished by Chelsea. His Argentine teammate Enzo Fernandez was recently handed a two-match ban by the club after putting out feelers to Real Madrid over a potential summer move.
This wouldn’t be the first time Garnacho’s social media activity has caused a stir. His brother was well known for causing problems online when the player was still at United.
Garnacho will still be keen to show the Reds what they are missing when the two sides meet this weekend. He gave his thoughts about his exit during an interview this week:
“I loved that club.”
The winger confessed that he had received so much love from the fans, which played a significant part in his role:
“They gave me the confidence from the start. From Spain, to bring me to the academy, then they bring me to the first team. So it was like four or five years, and amazing love from everyone… I remember in the last six months, I was just not playing like before at Manchester United.”
Garnacho could make his first appearance against United for Chelsea in Saturday’s encounter at Stamford Bridge. He was left on the bench for a 2-0 loss to the Reds at Old Trafford in the reverse fixture.
Garnacho Happy at Chelsea
Despite admitting his past mistakes, the youngster has promised to be professional from now on. The winger is keen to win over the Chelsea manager and secure a long-term future with the west Londoners.
Garnacho said in the aforementioned interview:
“It was just this moment in life, and sometimes you have to make decisions, and I am really proud to be here [at Chelsea] and still in the Premier League at a club like this. Everyone knows the team we have and the things we can do.”
The Argentine insisted he had no hard feelings for United:
“Sometimes, we have better moments or worse moments. I am proud to be here, but with United, I have nothing wrong to say about the club, no one in the club, or the teammates. It’s just a moment in life that changes, and life continues.”
It’s still unknown whether Chelsea will indeed take action against Garnacho, similar to what happened with Fernandez. But his future at Chelsea is reportedly already in jeopardy amid suggestions he could be sold or loaned out in the summer.
