- Manchester United eyeing Iliman Ndiaye
- Fans unimpressed with winger
- Played full 90 minutes in Everton 3-3 Man City
Manchester United fans were unimpressed with transfer target Iliman Ndiaye during Everton’s enthralling 3-3 draw with Manchester City on Monday night. The Senegalese winger has emerged as a potential left-wing option for the Reds.
Reports claim that United have placed Ndiaye “high” on their list of attacking targets ahead of the summer transfer window. He is enjoying a fine season at Hill Dickinson Stadium and has long been regarded as one of the best widemen in the Premier League.
The Red Devils are thought to be considering signing a new left winger to strengthen the squad ahead of a return to the Champions League. But Ndiaye’s display against City left much to be admired for some fans.

Ndiaye Falters in Everton 3-3 Man City
Everton and City played out one of the best games of the season, with Pep Guardiola’s men earning a point late on to remain in the title picture. Jeremy Doku gave the Citizens the lead in the 43rd minute, but Thierno Barry equalised in the 68th minute.
Jake O’Brien then gave the hosts the lead before Barry added his second of the night to put David Moyes’ men 3-1 up. City’s hopes of winning the title looked to be fading until they responded late on.
Erling Haaland found the back of the net in the 83rd minute, before Doku scored an outrageous 90+7th-minute equaliser. It was honours even on Merseyside, and Arsenal benefited in the midst of a tightly-poised title race, now holding a five-point lead having played one game more.
The Toffees could have stuck it to City even more if Ndiaye had his shooting boots on. The 26-year-old spurned four opportunities at goal, including a big chance that you’d expect him to score.
Ndiaye is easy on the eye, but his end product is a concern, with just six goals and three assists in 29 games across competitions. That might be factored into any decision INEOS makes about a potential pursuit.
“Don’t Want” – Fans React to Ndiaye Performance
Ndiaye’s frustrating display in front of goal didn’t go unnoticed by United fans, many of whom will have been eager to see Everton beat their neighbours. Some have even urged INEOS not to swoop for the player.
One fan on X wrote: “I don’t want Ndiaye anywhere near Man Utd!”
Another added: “Ndiaye really is the left sided Amad, all the good & bad.”
One fan responded: “Stay away he can’t shoot to save his life.”
Another added: “Yeah he is, I don’t want him at my club rather we brought back Rashford.”
One wrote: “He has no G/A in him.”
United’s main priority this summer is signing at least two new central midfielders but a new left winger could be on the cards. Whether INEOS agree with the fans’ stance over Ndiaye’s frustrations in front of goal remains to be seen.
