Michael Carrick will be eager for his side to keep the momentum going and seal third place with just three games remaining. First up is a Sunderland side who have been this season’s surprise package.

Team News
Carrick welcomes back Lisandro Martinez, who returns from a three-match suspension. The manager will have to decide whether he starts ahead of the impressive Ayden Heaven.
Benjamin Sesko could miss the game due to a shin problem, which worsened after he was pushed by Ibrahima Konate in the Liverpool win. The Slovenian striker could join Matthijs de Ligt in the absentee list amid the Dutch defender’s lengthy spell out with a back injury.
Patrick Dorgu came off the bench in last Sunday’s win at Old Trafford and could be in contention to start. Matheus Cunha scored the opener after returning from a hip flexor issue which saw him sit out a 2-1 win over Brentford.
Prediction
United can now relax, knowing they have secured a return to the Champions League next season. Carrick will want to end his current tenure in the best possible way and that is with three more wins.
Sunderland a tricky side to play against, especially at home, and this is by no means an easy win for the visitors. A 2-0 win in the reverse fixture got the job done at Old Trafford back in October.
We’re going with a 3-1 away win this time around courtesy of goals from Bruno Fernandes, Cunha and Dorgu.
Prediction: Sunderland 1-3 Man Utd
