Jess Park has been shortlisted for the PFA Women’s Player of the Year award after an impressive first season with Manchester United Women. The midfielder is one of six nominees for the 2025/26 prize, with the PFA recognising a campaign in which she quickly became one of United’s standout attacking players.
Manchester United confirmed Park’s nomination in a club update, noting that she scored nine goals and supplied five assists across all competitions after arriving from Manchester City on deadline day last summer. The wider shortlist also includes Kirsty Hanson, Yui Hasegawa, Lauren James, Alessia Russo and Bunny Shaw, according to the same Manchester United announcement.
Park recognition underlines United impact
For United, the nomination is another marker of how quickly Park has altered the tone around Marc Skinner’s side. Individual award lists can sometimes feel detached from the weekly grind, but this one points directly to a player who has delivered end product as well as energy between the lines.
The PFA award is voted for by fellow professionals, giving Park’s place on the shortlist extra weight. It also keeps United Women visible in a period when the men’s World Cup and summer transfer market are dominating the wider football cycle.
Park has already collected internal recognition at United this year, and this nomination pushes her season into a wider WSL conversation. Whether she wins or not, the shortlist confirms that her first year in red has landed well beyond Carrington.
