According to The Secret Scout on X, Manchester United are looking to sign Tynan Thompson from Tottenham Hotspur. The club learned of the opportunity last week and plan to do a medical before completing the move.
Hamburg are also interested in signing the talented 18-year-old winger from Tottenham Hotspur. Manchester United want it done quickly.
That would suggest that not only are Manchester United looking to constantly strengthen their senior squad, but they have not lost focus on their long-term future either. It remains to be seen if they are able to complete a deal for Thompson or not.
Why Tynan Thompson could be an excellent signing for Man Utd
It is safe that this might be the first time that a lot of people are hearing about Thompson. But he is an elite talent for sure. At least that is what the numbers would suggest.
He has not played a senior game for Tottenham Hotspur yet. But he has been impressing with his performances at the youth level for the club.
The standout stat is that Thompson has scored seven goals and provided two assists in seven UEFA Youth League games. That is an outstanding return for a winger.
Of course, there would be far tougher tests ahead if he wants to make it at the senior level. But if this is a sign of things to come, he might be about to develop into a quality winger in the future.
