Stormzy appears to have revealed Manchester United’s next 2026/27 shirt before its official release by posting the blue Adidas design on Instagram.
The British rapper, who is a well-known United supporter, shared an image of himself wearing the shirt on his Instagram story.
Stormzy tagged the club and wrote: “You’ve seen it here first.”
The design features a royal blue base with darker wavy stripes across the shirt. Stormzy also wore a white jacket over the kit, suggesting the image may have come from promotional filming for the launch.
According to CentreDevils, the post could therefore have been part of a planned Adidas campaign rather than an accidental leak.
United have not officially confirmed the shirt or announced its release date.
New kit could make pre-season debut
The club have already released their red home shirt for the new season. Its polo collar, striped cuffs and black details take inspiration from the kit worn during United’s 1977 FA Cup triumph.
The blue design appears set to become the next shirt added to the 2026/27 collection.
United began their pre-season schedule with a 1-0 defeat against Wrexham in Helsinki. ReadManUtd’s report from Michael Carrick’s opening friendly highlighted the early fitness and tactical work still required before the Premier League campaign.
Carrick’s side travel to Norway to face Rosenborg on Friday, 24 July, which could provide an early opportunity to wear the new design if it is released during the coming days.
Stormzy has previously worked with Adidas and featured in the campaign surrounding Paul Pogba’s return to Old Trafford in 2016.
His latest appearance in an unreleased United shirt looks unlikely to be a coincidence. An official announcement could now follow shortly.
