Tyler Fredricson Leaves Manchester United for INEOS-Owned Lausanne

Manchester United have confirmed the departure of young defender Tyler Fredricson, who has joined Swiss side Lausanne-Sport. The club marked the exit with a warm farewell message, wishing the academy graduate well as he begins what it described as a “new chapter” in his career.

What Tyler Fredricson’s move means for United

Fredricson, who wore the number 33 shirt last season, moves to a club with a familiar owner: Lausanne-Sport sits within Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS network, the same group that controls football operations at Old Trafford. The BBC report the defender has signed a three-year deal in Switzerland, while Yahoo Sport frame the move as a sale — United cashing in on a fringe option while keeping him inside the wider INEOS family, a route that could yet bring him back into the frame down the line.

The Manchester Evening News described the goodbye as a “touching farewell”, a reflection of the regard in which the homegrown defender was held around Carrington. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by the club.

Fredricson’s exit is unlikely to be the last piece of outgoing business at Old Trafford this summer, with further departures expected as Michael Carrick trims his squad. Keep across every arrival and exit in United’s summer transfer window.
