Bryan Mbeumo has made Manchester United’s ambitions clear ahead of their return to the Champions League, insisting Michael Carrick’s side “always aim big”. The Bryan Mbeumo Man Utd message comes after United secured a third-place Premier League finish last season and returned to Europe’s elite competition.
Mbeumo played an important role during his first campaign at Old Trafford after arriving from Brentford in a deal worth up to £71million.
The 26-year-old is now preparing for another demanding season as United balance a Champions League campaign with ambitions of challenging near the top of the Premier League.
ReadManUtd previously detailed United’s full pre-season schedule, with Carrick using increasingly difficult opposition to prepare his squad for the competitive campaign.

“Because it’s a big club and we always aim big,” Mbeumo said.
The Cameroon international also stressed that United continue to work towards even greater success rather than treating last season’s progress as the finished product.
His comments arrived after another encouraging pre-season performance.
Mbeumo scored both goals as United beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 in Stockholm, with Carrick using him through the middle rather than in his more familiar position on the right.
The forward has embraced that flexibility and said his role will depend on what individual matches require.
United now have Champions League football to prepare for after spending last season outside European competition.
That increased workload will place greater demands on Carrick’s squad, but Mbeumo’s message reflects the standards being set at Old Trafford.
A third-place finish represented clear progress. Mbeumo, however, appears determined to make sure United view it as a platform rather than the ceiling.
