Leeds vs Man Utd: How to watch, kick-off time and team news

Manchester United continue their pre-season preparations against Leeds United at Croke Park on Wednesday, with Michael Carrick finally able to work with almost his entire squad in Ireland.

United travelled directly to the Republic of Ireland following Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in Gothenburg, where Bryan Mbeumo scored his third goal in two pre-season appearances.

Carrick’s side will now renew their rivalry with Leeds in front of a sold-out Croke Park before completing their summer schedule against AC Milan.

Here is everything you need to know about Leeds vs Man Utd, including the kick-off time, how to watch and the latest team news.

Man Utd team news vs Leeds

Carrick has received a major squad boost since the draw with PSG.

Marcus Rashford has joined the group in County Kildare and could make his first United appearance since December 2024.

ReadManUtd reported after the PSG draw that Carrick expected Rashford to become part of his squad again during the Ireland camp.

Kobbie Mainoo has also linked up with the squad following his post-World Cup break, while Matheus Cunha is back with the group after missing the PSG game through illness.

There is more uncertainty over Mason Mount.

The midfielder was forced off after only 19 minutes in Gothenburg following a challenge, although Carrick later said the decision was precautionary.

ReadManUtd covered Carrick’s encouraging Mount update after the game.

Benjamin Sesko has yet to play during pre-season as he works his way back from a shin problem and may again be protected.

Carrick is likely to rotate heavily as he balances giving his established players minutes with assessing several academy prospects.

Leeds team news

Leeds arrive in Dublin after an impressive 2-0 victory over RB Leipzig on Saturday.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring before Lukas Nmecha added the second as Daniel Farke used an unusual 120-minute friendly to build fitness throughout his squad.

Sean Longstaff, Ethan Ampadu, Daniel James and Joe Rodon were among those involved, while summer additions Harry Wilson and James Justin also featured.

Leeds have won three successive pre-season matches after victories over Sunderland, Liverpool and Leipzig.

The meeting should therefore provide another useful test for Carrick as United move closer to their Premier League opener.

The biggest interest from a Manchester United perspective may surround the returning players.

Rashford, Mainoo and Cunha are all now back with the group, giving Carrick his first real opportunity of the summer to assess how his strongest squad could look.
