Manchester United have been staging talks with Ajax over a move for promising attacker Justin Kluivert in recent times, according to reports.
The Red Devils are understood to be admirers of the young Dutchman, who is establishing himself as one of the next big things in his homeland following his emergence on the Eredivisie scene.
It seems United’s interest in genuine, however, as quoted by the Mirror, the 18-year-old has insisted that no talks have been held between him and Jose Mourinho.
I have heard the rumours but I haven’t spoken to Mourinho. A move to Manchester United wouldn’t make sense, for now.

Kluivert is evidently hoping to stay with Ajax for the time being to ensure that he is continuing his development, therefore throwing his move to United into some doubt.
The tricky wide man, who is the son of Barcelona legend Patrick Kluivert, is primarily a left winger but is also a competent option coming in off the right flank.
Kluivert has scored five goals and has contributed with three assists in the Dutch top flight so far this season.
