The Brazilian is another player who has attracted plenty of interest in the past from Europe’s elite and has flourished during his time in Ligue 1.
The 24-year-old began his career at Fluminense in his homeland but failed to make an appearance in the first team. He then joined Rio Ave, in the Primeira Liga, but after a month went on loan to Real Madrid Castilla, where he made 30 appearances.

His impressive spell at Castilla saw him earn a loan move back to Madrid, but this time for Real Madrid’s first team, rather than their second. However, Fabinho only made one appearance, a 14-minute cameo against Malaga.
The season after, he joined Monaco on loan, and this is where he has seen his career take off. After a two-year loan spell at Stade Louis II, he made the move permanent and has made over 100 appearances for the French giants.
The defensive midfielder has been a huge part of Monaco’s triumphs recently, including playing a key role in knocking Manchester City out of the 2016/17 Champions League.
A move for Fabinho could see United try to sign two Brazilian midfielders this summer, with earlier reports suggesting the Red Devils were in advanced talks to sign Fred, from Shakhtar Donetsk.
