Manchester United are interested in signing Morgan Rogers this summer, along with a host of Premier League sides.

The Red Devils are in the race to sign the 23-year-old forward at the end of the season, despite him penning a new deal at Villa Park last year. Chelsea, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be keeping tabs on him.

The suitors have now learned the asking price set by Unai Emery’s side, as they look to make the most of the situation. Villa reportedly want to ensure that he is one of their biggest sales in club history, should he leave this summer.

Aston Villa Name Morgan Rodgers Price

Alex Crook speaking on talkSPORT, reported that Aston Villa want Jack Grealish-type money for Rogers. The Villa Park outfit are unwilling to listen to anything less and are confident that some club will match the asking price, as he has no release clause in his contract:

“I was doing some inquiries this morning to see if he’s got a release clause in his contract. Doesn’t sound like he does. And I think Aston Villa are within their rights to ask for Jack Grealish-type money [£100M] for Morgan Rogers. And I think somebody will pay it. I think he is capable of going on to one of the top clubs in the country.

“But as Gabs has said, ideally Villa will want to keep him, but we know they’re under financial pressure. More to do, I think, with the UEFA financial regulations and the Premier League ones. But it may be that they have to cash in, particularly if they don’t make the Champions League by the 30th of June as well.”

If United were to pay over £100m for Rogers, it would break the club’s transfer record. That remains the £89m spent on Paul Pogba back in 2017.

How has Rogers done this season?

Rogers has scored 27 goals and assisted 21 times in his 115 matches for Aston Villa, since joining from Middlesbrough. He was signed for £16 million in 2024 and is now regarded as one of the Premier League’s best attacking talents.

The former Manchester City youngster has scored eight goals and assisted five times in his 31 Premier League matches, while adding another goal and two assists in the 11 UEFA Europa League matches. He also had one goal in two FA Cup matches before they were knocked out by Newcastle United in February.
