- Casemiro set to leave Manchester United in the summer
- The Brazilian has scored 7 goals this season in the Premier League
- Casemiro has started 28 games of his 29 Premier League appearances this season
Casemiro will leave Manchester United at the end of the season after four years at Old Trafford. The Brazilian midfielder, who arrived from Real Madrid as one of the most decorated players of his generation, has made 155 appearances for the Reds and scored 24 goals.
This season alone, he has featured 29 times in the Premier League, finding the net seven times and adding two assists. The midfielder was at the heart of so many comebacks and wins this season. But as his departure approaches, his message to the supporters is simple and heartfelt.
Casemiro: Manchester United Always in my Heart
Casemiro was asked whether he would be joining Bastian Schweinsteiger in watching United’s matches on television, or even returning to Old Trafford to watch live. He told club media:
“Of course. I am always going to watch and follow this club. It will always be in my heart and I will always be supporting. I always say, when the day comes for me to leave, there will be one more fan with the club.”
Casemiro was also asked about his favourite chant from the Old Trafford crowd. He has his own song, of course, but his answer revealed a genuine affection for the matchday atmosphere.
“When they sing my name, that is the most uplifting. The one they sing before the game, Country Roads, that for me is so beautiful, one of the most beautiful songs. I think that is one that gets me really excited when I hear it.”
The Brazilian’s time at United has brought two trophies. He scored the opener in the Carabao Cup final victory over Newcastle United at Wembley in 2023, and also claimed an FA Cup winners’ medal in 2024, though he was not involved in the final. He passed the 100‑appearance milestone last season and won the club’s Player of the Month award twice, in October and May of his first campaign.
A simple message to the fans
As Casemiro reflected on his four years in Manchester, he was asked what message he would leave for the United supporters. His answer was brief but loaded with meaning.
“Thank you. Thank you for everything.”
Those words echo the sentiment he expressed upon arriving at the club, when he said:
“To represent United is an honour and I am ready to give everything to help the team achieve our ambitions.”
Now, as he prepares for a new chapter, Casemiro leaves as more than just a former player. He leaves as a self‑declared fan, one who will watch from afar, sing along to Country Roads, and always carry the red shirt in his heart
