Manchester United face Brentford tonight (April 27th) but the club’s official website has incorrectly told fans where to watch the game. The match is set to be broadcast on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football with kick-off at 8 PM GMT.
The United website have claimed the game is on TNT Sports rather than Sky Sports. It’s an error but one that will confuse supporters should they initially tune into TNT instead of Sky.
The Reds are gearing up for another crucial game in the race for UEFA Champions League qualification. They host a high-flying Bees side who have European ambitions of their own.
Man United on Sky Sports not TNT
United fans in the UK who want to watch the game need to tune in to Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League, or Sky Sports Ultra HDR. They can also catch pre-match coverage from Jamie Carragher, who will analyse the weekend’s action.
TNT would have lucked out if they were able to show the game, given that they broadcast the FA Cup on the weekend. Manchester City’s 2-1 win over Southampton and Chelsea’s 1-0 victory against Leeds United were both broadcast on the UK channel.
United’s most recent Monday night game on Sky was a hard watch as Carrick’s men fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Leeds. That was, of course, the night in which Lisandro Martinez was controversially sent off for pulling Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s hair.
Man United vs Brentford Preview
The Red Devils will be keen to keep the winning momentum going at this stage of the season. A 1-0 win over Chelsea last weekend was much needed after the Leeds setback.
It looks likely that Carrick will have Patrick Dorgu back in his squad for the game. The Danish winger has been sidelined since January with a hamstring injury, but reports suggest he’ll be available tonight.
Harry Maguire returns after a two-game suspension, and he could line up alongside Ayden Heaven in central defence. His experience is vital for the Reds, and it will be interesting to see how he fares alongside the impressive Heaven.
