- Manchester United fans have dismissed rumours of Bryan Mbeumo leaving
- Social media reacted to ‘exclusive’ on an exit
- Cameroonian has had a quiet second half of season
Manchester United star Bryan Mbuemo has had a fairly quiet second half of the season.
Ever since coming back from AFCON with Cameroon, the 26-year-old has been non-influential on the first team under Michael Carrick. Other than a handful of games against Manchester City, Arsenal and Spurs, Mbuemo has not registered a goal or assist since February.

Fans Mock ‘Exclusive’ on Mbuemo
Rumours over a departure for Bryan Mbuemo have been ridiculed on social media today (13 May). Indykaila News posted an ‘exclusive’ that Mbuemo may be ‘available’ this summer after just one season at Old Trafford.
Some fans on X got in on the action, dismissing such rumours. One user said: “This guy gets transfer news for at least 2 players every day. Not even Fabrizio and David Ornstein does that.”
Another fan/journalist said that “this summer is going to be fun”, as the rumour mill is well and truly underway. United must accompany significant arrivals with departures to balance the books. However, selling the former Brentford man is an outlandish take given how much the club spent.
He signed last summer from Brentford for a fee of £65m after some hard negotiating. As part of a new-look attack for this campaign, Mbuemo found himself instrumental in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system as a wide number 10.
It was thought that normal service would resume under Carrick, but the winger has looked a shadow of himself in the second half of this season.

United Need More, Not Less
Social media remains a playground for mockery. Mbeumo, however, will be focused on making a difference in the real world. The forward is determined to prove his doubters wrong and build a genuine legacy at Old Trafford.
He has already convinced Carrick that he has the capability to play in his second position, let alone his preferred. The 26-year-old was starting over Benjamin Sesko in the early days of Carrick’s tenure. Now, he has two final games this season to end the mockery.
Although Sesko has been in excellent form recently, Mbeumo offers a tactical flexibility that makes him irreplaceable for the campaign ahead. United are set to compete across four competitions next season, so the squad needs more reliable bodies and versatile options, not fewer.
