Manchester United have officially unveiled their new royal blue away kit for the 2026/27 season. The Manchester United away kit features the adidas Trefoil logo and revisits one of the club’s most recognisable colours.
United confirmed the release through their official website, with the shirt available to buy immediately. The design combines a royal blue base with red and white details across the collar and cuffs.
A tonal stripe runs through the fabric to give the shirt added texture. Meanwhile, red adidas stripes sit across the shoulders and provide a sharp contrast against the blue base.
The club crest remains over the heart and sits alongside the adidas Trefoil. Matching blue shorts and socks complete the full away strip.
Manchester United away kit revisits iconic colour
The new design takes inspiration from the blue away shirts worn during previous periods of United’s history. However, adidas has added modern performance features to update the familiar look.
The player version uses lightweight, body-mapped fabrics to improve movement. CLIMACOOL+ technology also helps manage moisture and ventilation during matches.
Stormzy had already appeared to leak United’s new away kit before the official announcement. The United-supporting rapper posted an image wearing the royal blue shirt on social media.
United described the design as a celebration of football culture both on and off the pitch. The Trefoil branding also gives the shirt a strong retro influence.
Michael Carrick’s squad will now wear the new strip during the 2026/27 campaign. The Manchester United away kit is available through the United Store and selected adidas retailers.
