Jaydan Kamason first-team chances have improved after his outstanding performance against Rosenborg.
The 19-year-old accepts that loan spells may form part of his development, but his ultimate ambition remains breaking into Manchester United’s senior side.
Kamason entered at half-time during United’s 5-0 pre-season victory in Norway. The right-back supplied two assists, delivering low crosses for Harry Amass and Ethan Williams to score.
Speaking after the match, Kamason admitted he does not yet know whether Michael Carrick will keep him with the senior squad or approve a temporary departure.
“If I need a few loans or whatever, then that’s the case,” Kamason said.
“But obviously, I’m trying to get to the top, and that’s Man United.”
The Sun reports that Kamason is waiting to discover United’s plans after featuring against Wrexham and Rosenborg during pre-season.

Kamason replaced Harry Maguire at the interval, with Leny Yoro moving into central defence. His introduction gave United greater attacking threat from right-back.
The academy defender created Amass’ goal with a driven delivery across the penalty area. He later produced another accurate cross for Williams to complete the scoring.
ReadManUtd’s report from inside United’s Norway trip highlighted Kamason’s two assists as Carrick finished the game with an entirely academy-produced outfield team.
Kamason joined United’s Emerging Talent Programme at the age of 10. He signed a contract until 2028, with the option of another year, after overcoming two significant injuries last season.
Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui have not yet returned from their post-World Cup breaks. Their absence could give Kamason further opportunities during the remaining pre-season fixtures.
A loan may eventually provide the regular senior football needed for his development. However, Jaydan Kamason first-team chances have strengthened after he rewarded Carrick’s faith in Trondheim.
