Tottenham tempted by Chicharito

Tottenham will move for Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez after a move for Saido Berahino was put in doubt after West Bromwich Albion put a £20m price tag on the player, according to the London Evening Standard,

Hernandez’s future at United is uncertain, and with Emmanuel Adebayor and possibly Roberto Soldado leaving Spurs, a move to White Hart Lane makes sense for the Mexican international.

Hernandez joined United’s squad on their tour to the United States on Saturday and is expected to be handed a chance to impress when United face Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday.

Tottenham were reportedly interested in West Brom forward Saido Berahino, but the interest has died down a touch after Spurs were told they had to cough up £20 million for the 21-year-old.

Spurs aren’t the only side interest in ‘The Little Pea’, after Sky Italia reported that fellow Premier League side West Ham United were also interested in the Mexican. They went on to say that The Hammers first opened negotiations with the Mexican striker a week ago, and then placed a bid of £9 million for Chicharito.

Additionally, Spurs are thought to be in for another United star – read all about it here
