Another Spaniard to join United’s ranks?

Manchester United already have David de Gea, Juan Mata and Ander Herrera among their ranks, as well as Sergio Romero, Victor Valdes, Antonio Valencia, Marcos Rojo and Guillermo Varela, whose first language is Spanish – that’s quite the contingent!

However, another Spanish speaker could be incoming, according to The Chronicle.

The Newcastle-based newspaper claims that Manchester United are keeping tabs on 22-year-old striker, Ayoze Perez, who the Magpies signed from Tenerife last year.

Perez has only scored one goal so far this season – a top-class volley against current champions Chelsea – but he’s only young and could thrive in United’s set up playing alongside players like Juan Mata.

With Memphis, Martial, Shaw, McNair and of course, David de Gea, United are building a team for the future who are also capable of winning now – and Ayoze Perez would certainly fit that bill!

Tottenham Hotspur failed with a deadline day move for the striker this year, so United would certainly have competition were Louis van Gaal to make his interest in the striker concrete with a bid in either January or next summer.
