Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has laughed off suggestions that striker Harry Kane will be moving to Manchester United in January, according to the London Evening Standard.
The 22-year old had been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer, but nothing concrete materialised and the England international remained at White Hart Lane.
Kane signed a new five-and-a-half year deal in February, and the Argentinian manager believes that the speculation surrounding his striker’s future at the club are nothing more than just rumours.

Pochettino said:
I smile because the rumours are always there.
The rumours are the rumours. Even now it is too early start speaking about rumours but you know in football it is normal.
Kane has struggled for goals in the early stages of the current season, but he scored a hat-trick last weekend during Tottenham’s 5-1 demolition against Bournemouth and Spurs fans hope it kickstarts a goal glut.
Back in June, the England international was asked about United’s interest in him. He responded:
I am happy at Spurs and I look forward to the future with Spurs.

I have seen there is interest but that’s all I know. It is flattering for other clubs to maybe be interested.
United have been struggling for goals up front, with Wayne Rooney woefully out of form, Anthony Martial being shunted out to the left-hand side to accommodate the captain’s presence in the side and James Wilson expected to head out on loan in January. The Reds need another striker and Kane would be an ideal fit, but this move would be more likely to happen in the summer if it ever does materialise.
