Manchester United currently have a wealth of first-team midfielders, ranging from the World Cup-winning Bastian Schweinsteiger to the Brazil under-20 international Andreas Pereira.
Since there are so many capable midfielders in the squad now, bringing a new one in almost certainly means another has to leave – and this is the case with Youri Tielemans.
According to Soccerlens, Manchester United are keen on signing the young Anderlecht prodigy, widely known as one of the finest young players in world football. However, if his signature can be obtained, it could spell the end for one of his compatriots from the current United squad.
Marouane Fellaini, who will have joined forces with Tielemans for the Belgian national team, would be the man who makes his way out of Old Trafford if Tielemans puts pen to paper at Carrington.
Tielemans regularly plays 90 minutes for Anderlecht and would come with quite a hefty price tag. Despite being just 18 years of age, he is valued somewhere between £20 million and £30 million.
