Manchester United Women have secured another academy player on professional terms after Scarlett Hill signed a contract running until June 2028.
Manchester United confirmed Hill’s first professional deal, with the club also holding an option for a further year.
The 18-year-old Wales defender joined United at under-10 level and has now taken the next step after a season that included senior loan experience with Sheffield United.
Hill Deal Strengthens United Academy Pathway
This is another useful academy marker for United.
Hill spent the second half of last season with Sheffield United, giving her a clearer bridge between youth football and the senior game. United now have her tied down before Marc Skinner decides how quickly she can move towards first-team involvement.

United have added senior and emerging talent this summer, but these retention decisions matter as much as signings. WSL minutes remain hard to earn, so the club need young players with contracts, loan plans and a realistic route forward.
For Hill, the next task is straightforward. She has earned the deal. Now she has to turn it into first-team trust.
