Marcus Rashford has no plans to move to Turkey and is expected to return to Manchester United for pre-season under Michael Carrick.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the forward is not considering a move to the Turkish Süper Lig this summer.
Rashford will instead report back to United once his post-World Cup break is complete. Carrick wants the opportunity to work with the 28-year-old before a final decision is made over his future.
A departure has not been completely ruled out. However, Rashford would only consider leaving Old Trafford if an offer arrived from a leading European club.
Romano’s latest update comes after Fenerbahçe were linked with an approach for the England international.
As Read Man Utd reported, the Turkish club were said to be preparing contact with United after completing the signing of Mason Greenwood.
Carrick handed Rashford decision
The latest development gives Carrick an opportunity to assess Rashford’s condition, attitude and suitability for his system.
Rashford spent last season on loan at Barcelona but returned to United after the Spanish club decided against making the move permanent. He remains under contract at Old Trafford until 2028.
Carrick has previously left the door open for Rashford to rebuild his United career. The pair are not understood to have any personal issues, which offers the forward a route back into the squad.
Romano’s original update states that Rashford will return for pre-season because Carrick wants to work with him.
United may still sanction a permanent sale should a suitable proposal arrive. For now, though, a move to Turkey appears to be off the table and Rashford is preparing for another opportunity at his boyhood club.
