Man Utd agree terms to sign Monica Jusu Bah from BK Hacken

Manchester United Women have agreed terms to sign Sweden winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Hacken as Eva Olid continues to reshape her squad before the Women’s Super League transfer deadline.

The 23-year-old is expected to complete her move to United before next Thursday’s deadline, with the club also hoping to bring in one further signing.

BBC Sport’s Emma Sanders reports that United have now agreed terms for Jusu Bah, moving the deal significantly closer to completion after interest emerged earlier this week.

Monica Jusu Bah set for Man Utd move

Jusu Bah has spent her entire senior career in Sweden, initially breaking through at Umea before joining BK Hacken in 2023.

She signed a contract extension with Hacken in September 2025 which runs until 2028, meaning United will pay a transfer fee to secure her release.

The exact figure has not yet been officially disclosed.

The Athletic’s Megan Feringa has reported that the fee is in excess of £400,000, which would represent another significant investment in Olid’s new-look squad.

Jusu Bah has become an established figure for Hacken.

The club’s official statistics show she has made 107 appearances, scoring 32 goals and providing 15 assists across all competitions. She has four goals and three assists from 15 Damallsvenskan appearances this season.

She also played a major role in Hacken’s successful European campaign last season, scoring three times in eight matches as they won the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup.

Man Utd Women still want another signing

United’s recruitment is not expected to stop with Jusu Bah.

Sanders reports that the club remain hopeful of completing at least one more signing before the WSL window closes next week.

Olid has already added defender Andrea Medina and goalkeeper Janina Leitzig this summer as United rebuild following several experienced departures.

The arrival of Jusu Bah would strengthen the attacking options available to the new head coach.

The winger has also become increasingly important for Sweden, earning 11 senior caps and featuring in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifiers this year.

Her pace and ability to operate from wide areas would give United another direct attacking option ahead of the new WSL campaign.

Terms are now agreed, leaving United to complete the remaining formalities before confirming their latest summer signing.
