Man Utd complete Monica Jusu Bah signing as shirt number confirmed

Manchester United Women have completed the signing of Sweden international Monica Jusu Bah from BK Hacken, with the winger signing a contract until June 2030.

United officially announced the 23-year-old on Friday evening, just hours after ReadManUtd reported that terms had been agreed for her move from Sweden.

The transfer fee has not been disclosed by either club, although reports put United’s investment at more than £400,000.

Monica Jusu Bah signs Man Utd contract until 2030

Jusu Bah arrives after establishing herself as one of the standout attacking players in Sweden.

She helped Hacken win the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup last season and has already earned 11 senior caps for Sweden, featuring throughout their Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign.

Speaking after completing the transfer, Jusu Bah described joining United as an “unbelievable feeling” and highlighted the opportunity to develop under new head coach Eva Olid.

The winger said:

“The opportunity to work with Eva Olid is perfect.”

Jusu Bah can play from wide areas and also offers another option through the middle, increasing the attacking choices available to Olid ahead of the new Women’s Super League season.

Her arrival continues a significant summer of change at United, with Ella Toone recently explaining how she has taken on greater leadership responsibility within Olid’s reshaped squad.

United have already confirmed another detail surrounding their newest signing.

Jusu Bah will wear the No.23 shirt for the club during the 2026/27 campaign.

The recruitment may not be finished either.

BBC Sport’s Emma Sanders reported before the transfer was completed that United hoped to add at least one more player before next week’s WSL transfer deadline.

Jusu Bah is nevertheless now officially part of Olid’s squad, giving United another attacking weapon as preparations intensify for the start of the competitive campaign.
