Anthony Martial is looking for a way back into the Premier League, with his representatives sounding out a number of English clubs over a possible move.
The former Manchester United forward has been without a club since June, when he mutually terminated his contract with Mexican side Monterrey. At 30, Martial is now considering another spell in England.
According to TeamTalk, intermediaries have spoken to several Premier League clubs about his availability. Brighton, Everton, Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Sunderland are among those approached.
Anthony Martial wants back in England
A return to the Premier League would take Martial back to the competition where he spent nine years with United.
He joined from Monaco in 2015 and went on to make more than 300 appearances, scoring 90 goals. He also won the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League during his time at Old Trafford.
Things haven’t gone quite as well since he left.
Martial scored nine goals and provided two assists in 24 games for AEK Athens after moving to Greece in 2024. His spell at Monterrey was less productive, with one goal and three assists from 20 appearances.
Everton, however, are understood to have no interest in signing the free agent. Despite being left with only Thierno Barry as their senior striker after the collapse of the Folarin Balogun deal, the Merseyside club have not pursued Anthony Martial.
Anthony Martial is not tied to the transfer window and can still sign for a club after the deadline.
For now, the Frenchman is weighing up his options and hoping an opportunity comes his way.
After nearly a decade at Old Trafford, another Premier League chapter could still be on the cards.
