Jadon Sancho could be handed a surprise route back into football, with UAE Second Division side Arabian Falcons reportedly preparing an approach for the former Manchester United winger.
The Mirror claim the Dubai-based club are ready to contact Jadon Sancho as they look to attract a number of high-profile free agents. The Falcons are managed by former Liverpool and England midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, while ex-Leicester City and United defender Danny Simpson works with the squad as a player-coach.
Tough times for Jadon Sancho
Jadon Sancho is currently without a club after Aston Villa decided against making his loan spell permanent. The 25-year-old spent last season at Villa Park but returned to the free-agent market following the expiry of his Manchester United contract, five years after United paid Borussia Dortmund £72.9 million for him.
The Falcons are believed to be hoping Dubai itself can help persuade Sancho. The club can offer tax-free earnings and high-quality training facilities, while Sancho already has some familiarity with the city after travelling there previously to aid his recovery from injuries.
There would also be a familiar face waiting for him in Ravel Morrison.
The former United academy midfielder joined the Falcons last summer and was recently named captain. Sir Alex Ferguson famously described Morrison as the most talented youngster he had seen during his time at United.
Sancho has won 23 England caps and scored three goals, but his career had a nose dive in recent seasons. He has represented four clubs over the last three campaigns, including United, and remains without a clear destination.
Once a superstar and one of the biggest talent in English football, Jadon Sancho finds himself linked to a second division side in UAE. The transfer is yet to be confirmed but Arabian Falcons remain interested.
