United target open to Premier League move

Carlos Bacca would be open to a move to the Premier League, according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.

The news will certainly add fuel to the fire that the Colombian international striker is set to move to England with both Manchester United and Liverpool being heavily linked with securing his services.

With Radamel Falcao’s stay at Old Trafford ending after just one season and Robin van Persie’s future still uncertain, United are in the hunt for another striker to add more firepower to their squad.

“Carlos Bacca at the end of the season told Sevilla he would like a way out”, Balague told Sky Sports News HQ, “he likes the idea of coming to the Premier League, of course he has been abroad for a few years and would be happy to continue that progression abroad.”

The 28-year-old enjoyed a successful season in Spain, helping Sevilla retain their grip on the Europa League, scoring 28 goals in 55 appearances. He has 20 caps with Colombia and has scored 7 times for Los Cafeteros.
