According to Rob Dawson, of Manchester Evening News, Torino have received three bids for Matteo Darmian from unnamed clubs.
The Italian international is believed to be a big target for Manchester United as they look to add a right back before the start of the Premier League season.
United are in need of a high class right back as Rafael appears to be have been given the green light to leave United, this would leave United with just Valencia to fill the gap after they lost out to Liverpool for Nathaniel Clyne.
Urbano Cairo, the Torino chairman, confirmed that they have received offers from three unnamed clubs, although he did hint towards them being Champions League teams. He also did state that any deal must completed by the team the player returned for pre-season training on Sunday however.
He told the media “Everyone who arrives at Bormio will stay for the rest of the year. Extra time has begun and on Sunday there will be the final whistle, that is the deadline. Three concrete offers have arrived for Darmian, but out of respect for those who made the offers I won’t reveal them.”
He then told the media that one of Darmian’s aims is to win the Champions League and admitted he will have to leave in order to do so, he stated “An extraordinary player like Matteo will want to try and win the Champions League and Torino can’t win it.”
There fore United may be forced into making a decision and ending the current lack of activity this summer. United look to be behind other clubs this window. LVG has confirmed just one signing this summer whereas Liverpool have completed 7 already.
It has been though that United do have a number signings completed already but have been requested by Adidas that they wait to announce any more, to ensure the press photos feature the Adidas kit rather than the current Nike kit.
