Manchester United’s search for a boost to their rather underwhelming attacking options has taken them from interest in Thomas Muller to a suggested bid for a 17-year-old Norwegian – but now a rather left-of-field option could be on the cards
The Telegraph are reporting that 25-year-old Alexandre Pato could make a switch to Old Trafford. As a teenager, Pato lit up Serie A alongside Ronaldinho, Pirlo and Clarence Seedorf in the red and black of AC Milan.
Injury seriously stalled his career and he’s currently plying his trade in his native Brazil, but he has been offered to Manchester United with a price tag around £11 million – which could be a bargain.
As a 16 year old, Pato was in a very impressive AC Milan’s starting eleven, playing and scoring freely in the Champions League as well as Serie A. He’d offer something different up front and would obviously be much cheaper option for United than Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller or Neymar – so what is there to lose?
