Manchester United have reportedly contacted Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez’s entourage about a possible move, according to France Football.
United have also sent scouts to check on Mahrez’s progress, including at Saturday’s game between Leicester City and West Brom, but that was primarily to scout West Brom as United host them next week.
The 24-year old is also being courted by Spanish champions Barcelona and French champions Paris Saint-Germain, who are paying special attention to the Algerian’s performances this season.

Mahrez has started the season in hot form, and his seven goals in the Foxes’ first ten games have led the side to third in the Premier League table.
Louis van Gaal has been frustrated recently by the lack of pace in his side, and a number of targets have floated around in recent weeks, including Southampton’s Sadio Mane, who the Reds reportedly attempted to sign in the summer.
However, Mane remains a target for United in January and Mahrez now joins that list. Both men are dynamic, pacy wingers, and would fit the bill for what van Gaal is currently looking for in his squad. The question remains whether Ronald Koeman or Claudio Ranieri would be willing to let go of their prized assets in January.
