Manchester United have been held to four goalless draws in their last seven games – they are in dire need of a striker. So what better man to go for than the one who has scored more goals this season than Neymar, Luis Suarez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Jamie Vardy?
The Mirror report that United manager Louis van Gaal is ready to make a move for the Gabon international, who has scored 22 goals in just 18 games for Borussia Dortmund this season; to put that in context, United have scored 34 goals across their Premier League, Champions League and Capital One Cup games this season so far – so Aubameyang would bring much-needed goal-getting prowess.
The Dortmund striker is thought to have a price tag of £42,000,000 – and Louis van Gaal is weighing up a move for him sooner rather than later, with the Red Devils considering testing the Bundesliga side’s resolve as early as January.
The Old Trafford club will however face opposition for the signature of the red-hot frontman, as Barcelona, Arsenal and Chelsea have all also followed him closely this season.
