Robbie Savage has urged Manchester United to sign Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.
With the Reds struggling for goals this season and lacking options in attack, a move for a forward in the January transfer window would not come as a surprise.
The Leicester striker made history on Saturday by scoring in his eleventh consecutive Premier League game against the Reds, beating Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record, and the former United youth product and Foxes midfielder thinks Vardy is an ideal fit for United.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Football Daily, Savage said:
His achievement is just unbelievable. He’s not playing for Arsenal, or Man United or Man City. He’ll score 20 goals this season and that for me is enough to be player of the year.
If I was Manchester United I would buy Vardy. He would offer pace. If someone were to bid for him in January and he asked to leave I don’t think you can blame the lad because he has had [success] late in his life.
Vardy has had a phenomenal rise since joining Leicester City from non-league Fleetwood Town back in 2012, and is certainly in sensational form, but it is a big doubt that he would fit into van Gaal’s side at Old Trafford.
The problem that van Gaal isn’t one of attacking options, but rather the lack of fluidity the Reds have in the final third. Once the Dutchman sorts that out, United should be firing on all cylinders. Perhaps signing Vardy would create more competition among the attacking ranks, but he is already 28 and would have no resale value.
