Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney is being offered a £75 million deal to link up with Sven-Goran Eriksson in China, according to the Daily Mail.
Chinese Super League bosses are eager for the current United and England captain to become their poster boy and have reportedly offered a three-year deal worth up to £25 million a season.
If Rooney were to decide to leave Old Trafford, that could open the door for a reunion with former England boss Eriksson at Shanghai SIPG, where the Swede currently manages.

The £75 million package would include an image rights agreement that would see the 30-year-old profit if he manages to lift the Chinese Super League’s profile worldwide.
And the CSL are keen for Rooney to join as soon as possible, although they are prepared to wait for the striker such is their determination to land England’s record top scorer.
The Daily Mail go on to say that Major League Soccer are also keeping an eye on Rooney’s future after securing the likes of Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard in the last year. However, despite the American lifestyle possibly suiting Rooney and his family, it is unlikely that the MLS can offer the type of money that the Chinese are willing to throw at the striker.

The CSL has certainly developed in recent years and Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande are the current Asian champions. They have also attracted some star names in recent years, with the likes of Didier Drogba, Nicolas Anelka, Paulinho and Robinho have all played in China at one point or another.
Despite this, it is highly unlikely that Rooney would even contemplate a move to China even with all the riches on offer and the striker will probably be more concerned with prolonging his career at a top level in the near future.
