Manchester United are ready to recall Tyler Blackett from his loan spell with Celtic, according to the Daily Mail.
With Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo out with injuries at the moment, Daley Blind and youngster Cameron Borthwick-Jackson are the only actual defenders that can play at left-back at the moment.
Louis van Gaal will be looking to bring in a new left-back in the January transfer window but the 21-year-old, who can play at both centre-back and on the left, will offer United some cover while the club pick out the right target in the transfer market.

Shaw is recovering well from the double leg break he suffered in Eindhoven against PSV in September, but the chances are slim that he will make a comeback this season while Rojo has been on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.
Blackett has only played seven times during his time on loan with the Scottish champions, with three of those appearances coming in the Europa League as the Hoops were knocked out in the group stage.
Emilio Izaguirre and Kieran Tierney have been favoured by Celtic boss Ronny Delia ahead of Blackett at left-back while the Mancunian has also been unable to dislodge Dedryck Boyata and Efe Ambrose in the heart of defence.
And it seems that Celtic fans are happy to see Blackett recalled, judging by these reactions on Twitter:
