Queens Park Rangers have reportedly agreed a fee with Manchester United for 21-year-old midfielder Sean Goss.
This comes according to Sky Sports, who claim that the clubs have come to a deal at the price of £500,000.
Goss is set to have a medical with the Loftus Road side and become United’s third departure of the January transfer window, after Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay moved to Everton and Olympique Lyonnais respectively.
The England under-19 midfielder showed real promise in the Red Devils youth setup, but injuries hampered his progress at under-21 level and prevented him from making his mark as a senior player at Old Trafford.
Born in Wegberg, Goss is eligible to play for Germany at international level. He moved to England at the age of eight when offered the chance to play for Exeter City – and moved to United in 2012.
A lifelong United fan, this proposed move to QPR will be bittersweet for him – it will see him leave the club he loves, but offers him a real chance to put his injury trouble behind him and get some first-team football at a good level.
