Ibrahimovic hoping for two more seasons at Old Trafford

Mercurial Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic wrote himself into the club’s history with brace in the EFL Cup final last week – and there’s more good news for United fans, in relation to the Swedish finisher.

According to the Daily Mirror, the towering talisman wants to spend two more seasons with the Red Devils, and is willing to turn down big-money offers from abroad to do so.

Ibrahimovic’s current contract includes an option to extend his time with United into the 2017-18 season – but he is looking to add another year onto this, which would see him playing at the top level until he is at least 37 years old.

Offers to go elsewhere are not hard to come by when you’ve scored 26 goals by the end of February, and Zlatan could choose to go to China or the MLS for a big-money contract – that said, his £300,000 a week contract at United should just about manage to pay the bills!
