Manchester United have entered the race to sign VfB Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller, with Christopher Vivell understood to be driving the club’s interest in the Germany international.
According to a fresh report from Vital Manchester United, Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has claimed United are now in the mix for Stiller as Michael Carrick’s midfield rebuild gathers pace.

Vivell Pushes For Bundesliga Midfield Control
Stiller’s appeal is obvious. The Bundesliga’s own profile lists him with 34 league appearances, two goals, five assists and 252 tackles won across the 2025/26 season. Transfermarkt also values the 25-year-old at €45 million, while his Stuttgart contract runs until 2028.
That matters for United because Carrick’s squad still needs a controller, not just another ball-winner. Ederson adds thrust and recovery power, but Stiller would offer tempo management, left-footed distribution and Champions League-level security in the first phase of build-up.
There is one clear warning: Stuttgart have no reason to sell cheaply. If United want Vivell’s preferred midfield technician, they may need to move before Juventus or other continental rivals harden the market.
