Manchester United Add AC Milan Friendly To Summer Pre Season Schedule

Manchester United now have a full six-game pre-season schedule after adding AC Milan to Michael Carrick’s summer programme.

United’s official game-by-game guide confirms six fixtures, with the final game against Milan in Wroclaw. The club have also confirmed that the men’s players who are not involved at the World Cup will return to training from Thursday, 9 July.

United begin against Wrexham in Helsinki on 18 July. They then face Rosenborg in Trondheim, Atletico Madrid in Stockholm, Paris Saint-Germain in Gothenburg and Leeds United in Dublin before meeting Milan in Poland.

The Premier League’s summer friendlies guide lists the same six-game schedule. United confirmed the Milan fixture will take place at the Tarczynski Arena on Saturday, 15 August.

Milan Fixture Sharpens Carrick’s Final Week

The Milan game gives Carrick a strong final test before the new league season.

AC Milan’s announcement also confirms the Wroclaw venue, with the Rossoneri travelling to Poland after their summer tour.

For United, the shape of the schedule is clear. Wrexham and Rosenborg should offer rhythm. Atletico, PSG, Leeds and Milan then provide a stronger calibration block.

Read Manchester United has already framed the Wrexham fixture as Carrick’s first short audition window. The Milan game now gives him the final one.

It should help the coaching staff test structure, manage returning internationals and settle key combinations. It also gives United a late benchmark against Champions League-level opposition before competitive football returns.
