Manchester United have reportedly made a £6million offer as the Orlando Gill transfer gathers pace. The Paraguay goalkeeper’s agent is said to be handling the proposal, although San Lorenzo have not received a formal bid.
DSports Radio reports that United’s offer is worth close to $8million. San Lorenzo are prepared to assess the situation once an official proposal reaches the Argentine club.
Gill is expected to leave San Lorenzo this summer after starring at the World Cup. The 6ft 6in goalkeeper played every minute as Paraguay reached the last 16.
He produced a decisive display against Germany in the round of 32. Gill saved penalties from Kai Havertz and Nick Woltemade as Paraguay progressed through the shootout.

Gill also kept clean sheets against Turkey and Australia during the group stage. His performances have attracted interest from several clubs across England and Europe.

United have already signed Karl Darlow on a free transfer. However, Altay Bayindir could still leave Old Trafford, while André Onana has returned to Trabzonspor on loan.
Gill would therefore provide Michael Carrick with another long-term option. His physical presence and shot-stopping ability could also suit Premier League football.
San Lorenzo still hold a strong negotiating position because Gill’s contract runs until December 2027. The reported proposal has not yet become a formal club-to-club bid.
