Juventus have made fresh contact over a possible move for Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee as Michael Carrick assesses his attacking options.
The Serie A club have spoken to Zirkzee and made enquiries about the conditions required to sign him. United reportedly value the Netherlands international at between €35million and €40million.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus view Zirkzee as an alternative to Randal Kolo Muani. Their negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over the French striker have proved difficult.
No formal Juventus offer has been submitted to United at this stage.
Manchester United open to Zirkzee transfer talks
Zirkzee is not considered untouchable at Old Trafford, and United are reportedly willing to consider different transfer structures. However, they do not intend to allow the 25-year-old to leave cheaply.
The striker scored twice and provided one assist across 26 appearances last season. His first pre-season outing also proved difficult as United lost 1-0 against Wrexham.

United must still consider their attacking depth before approving an exit. Benjamin Sesko is currently recovering from injury, leaving Carrick with fewer established centre-forward options during pre-season.
Zirkzee’s contract runs until June 2029, with United holding an option for another season. The club therefore retain a strong negotiating position.
Juventus have pursued the former Bologna forward on several previous occasions. Their latest contact confirms his Serie A reputation remains strong despite an inconsistent spell in England.
United are prepared to discuss a suitable deal, but Juventus must now decide whether to meet their €35million to €40million valuation.
