Manchester United could earn a major sell-on fee if Mason Greenwood leaves Marseille this summer.
Julien Laurens reports United hold a 35% sell-on clause on any future transfer fee for the forward.
Atletico Madrid have reportedly made a €45m offer, which would hand United around €15.7m. Fenerbahce’s €42m offer would be worth around €14.7m under the same calculation.
United sold Greenwood to Marseille last summer after his long-term Old Trafford future became untenable. The sell-on clause now gives the club a financial interest in his next move.

Sell-On Clause Could Help Carrick’s Window
The numbers are useful for United.
A €15m-level payment would not transform the window on its own, but it would add room for a club still working through midfield, goalkeeping and squad-depth decisions.
Michael Carrick has already seen United push forward with the £50m move for Andrey Santos from Chelsea. ReadManUtd has also reported Santos being handed the number 17 shirt before his official unveiling.
United still need to stay careful with their spending. A Greenwood sell-on payment would count as useful extra income rather than a full solution.
The key detail is simple. United do not need to negotiate the next deal. They only need Marseille to accept one.
Atletico’s reported offer would bring the higher return. Fenerbahce’s bid would still give United a sizeable payment as Carrick’s rebuild continues.
