Manchester United are reportedly preparing a €60million approach for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery as Michael Carrick targets another major addition.
United have already signed Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans this summer. However, Carrick still wants another midfielder following Casemiro’s departure.
According to Top Mercato, Zaïre-Emery is greatly admired by United’s recruitment team. The proposed approach would test whether PSG are prepared to discuss his departure.
No official bid or direct negotiations between the clubs have been confirmed.

PSG reportedly value the 20-year-old at around €80million, leaving United’s proposed opening figure €20million below their assessment.
Zaïre-Emery is also under contract until June 2029, with PSG holding an option for another season. The French champions therefore have little financial pressure to sell.
The France international started 47 of his 54 appearances last season and scored three goals. He can play across central midfield or provide cover at right-back.
However, his long-term position under Luis Enrique may require consideration. Zaïre-Emery returned to the bench for the Champions League final once PSG’s established starters were available.
United could offer him a more prominent midfield role. His energy, technical quality and ability to carry possession would suit Carrick’s plans to build a younger and more mobile team.
ReadManUtd recently reported that United also received encouragement in their pursuit of Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott. Zaïre-Emery would represent a more ambitious and expensive alternative.
United’s interest remains at an early stage. PSG’s valuation and strong contract position make an agreement difficult, but a €60million approach would establish whether negotiations are possible.
