- Manchester United star to start his clothing brand
- Centre-back thrived in his first start under Michael Carrick
- What will his role be in the coming years
Manchester United’s young centre-back prodigy Ayden Heaven is preparing to launch his own clothing brand, with the 19-year-old branching out beyond the footballing world.
The youngster has excelled recently, making his first start under interim head coach Michael Carrick against Chelsea on 18 April, in a mismatched defensive line that saw Noussair Mazraoui take precedence at centre-back, with the four remaining senior options unavailable through injury or suspension.
Despite the Frankenstein-esque back line, Heaven exceeded expectations, producing a composed display and keeping a clean sheet against a strong—albeit out-of-form—Chelsea side.

Heaven to Open Clothing Brand
According to The Sun, Heaven has applied to trademark his name across a range of merchandise. This includes football shirts, gym wear and training apparel.
Heaven also holds the option to expand into perfumes and aftershaves, as well as nutritional food and drink products. The application to the Intellectual Property Office covers his name as a logo in a calligraphy-style design.
This is not the first time Heaven has ventured into the fashion world. Just a few weeks ago, the centre-back appeared on Capital Xtra, where he was asked who had the worst fashion sense in the United squad.
“Senne Lammens,” Heaven said. “He’s still young, but he dresses like he’s in his late thirties.”
This marks another step in what he hopes will be an expansive career beyond the pitch.
Heaven joins the likes of former Manchester United players Rio Ferdinand and Jesse Lingard in launching clothing brands, while Chelsea’s Cole Palmer has also explored similar ventures.
He will be hoping not to repeat Lingard’s mistakes, whose brand ‘JLINGZ’ drew harsh criticism from Gary Neville and Roy Keane, who labelled it a distraction. The company accumulated over £200,000 in debt in its first year and was liquidated in 2025 after losses exceeded £300,000.
It remains unclear when Heaven’s first pieces will be available for purchase.
Heaven’s Career so far
Ruben Amorim made Heaven his first signing, bringing him in from Arsenal on 1 February 2025 to secure a clearer pathway into first-team football, which he felt the London club had blocked.
Since then, the Englishman has featured in 23 matches for the Red Devils, making his Premier League debut against his former side on 9 March in a 1-1 draw.
He earned his full debut soon after, as United beat Real Sociedad 4-1 in the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie.
This season, however, opportunities have remained scarce. Across the opening 13 matches, he played just 28 minutes, all from two substitute appearances.
December marked a turning point, with Heaven starting eight consecutive matches at the height of United’s injury crisis. Across that run, United lost just once—a 2-1 defeat away to Aston Villa—but won only twice and drew five, many against sides they would expect to beat.
After the defeat to Leeds United, the club dismissed Amorim, and Carrick reduced Heaven’s role. Before the Chelsea fixture, he had played just 15 minutes in total.
He has since responded with back-to-back 90-minute performances, producing assured displays against Chelsea and Brentford.
While Heaven does not yet command a guaranteed starting place when all defenders are fit—serving more as a rotational option for now—there is a growing belief that, in time, he and Leny Yoro can form a formidable partnership at the heart of United’s defence.
